“Shouting from Odessa” is a theatrical apologue on cycling of life. Mendel Krik, the patriarch of a Jewish family, abuses the benefits of a ripe age, having made up the mind to his sunset, and a junior generation multiplies imperfections of the world on a basis of self-reliant dawn… The youth of actors adds some daring and passion to the performance; Jewish, Russian, Ukrainian music entrains the heroes into a whirlwind of frantic dances and vociferous folk songs, into an everlasting holiday of life that is beautiful in spite of everything.
